How to measure your screen so the film fits perfectly
How well the film fits depends on how you measure. Follow these 5 steps, then enter the size in the calculator above to see prices for clear, matte, blue light filter and privacy film instantly.
The one rule to remember: measure the full screen — width from the far left edge to the far right, height from the very top to the very bottom, in centimetres.
How to measure your screen in 5 steps
Get ready
Use a tape measure or ruler marked in centimetres. Turn the device off and wipe the dust off the screen first, so you measure accurately without scratching it.
Measure the full width of the screen
Lay the tape horizontally and measure from the far left edge to the far right edge of the screen, keeping it straight, not tilted.
Measure the full height of the screen
Lay the tape vertically and measure from the very top edge to the very bottom edge of the screen.
Write the numbers down precisely
Note the width × height in centimetres, to the millimetre — e.g. 30.5 cm. If you know the screen model, write that down too so we can double-check.

FAQ: why measure, and how
Why do I have to measure the screen myself? Isn’t the size in inches enough?
The size in inches is only the diagonal of the picture. Two screens both sold as 14-inch can have different widths and heights, because aspect ratios and bezels vary from model to model. Film cut from the inch size alone may not fit — measuring the real width and height gives you the best fit.
Which part of the screen do I measure?
Measure the full screen: width from the far left edge to the far right, height from the very top edge to the very bottom. Measure in centimetres, then enter the numbers in the calculator above.
Does being slightly off matter?
Yes. If the film is too big, its edges hit the screen frame, lift and let dust in. If it’s too small, you’ll see a gap at the edges. Measure to the millimetre, e.g. 30.5 cm, and keep the tape straight, not at an angle.

How wide and tall is a 27-inch screen?
A 27-inch 16:9 screen has a picture area of about 59.8 cm wide by 33.6 cm high. That’s fine for a rough check, but for ordering film, measure the full screen as shown in the guide.
What’s the minimum order? Can you cut film for very large screens?
You can order from a single piece, cut to the size of any brand’s screen. Screens larger than our price table can be cut too — message LINE @maximumshop for a price.
